Anyone here?

It's been a while, I know, but things have been so monumentally busy it's been hard to keep pace. The biggest development in my life over the past year is that I'm enrolled to begin a teaching training course (PGCE) in September '12, training as a primary school teacher. Who'da thunk it? Working in schools is something I've really enjoyed over the past year and I'm hungry for more of it. Literally cannot wait to get started. I'd love to take a holiday over the summer before the hard work really kicks in but I'm going to need all the funds available to throw at it.

Oh, and I have a parrot now. A Timneh African Grey called Petyr! We rescued him from a very shabby home. When we first saw him, his cage hadn't been cleaned to the extent that his droppings were dissolving the metal bars at the bottom of his cage. He's adorable, but we're still working on getting him hand-tamed. It'll take a lot of time and love before he's intermingling with us apes!

That's it really. I'll probably be uploading a few more choice photos taken over the past year in the next few days. Maybe I'll go wild and upload them TONIGHT!
