My muse has gone away for a short vacation. For the past few months I've been up to a grand total of ZERO creative projects, of any nature. My environment at home feels temporary, and knowing that by the end of the year I'll be out and about, exploring the globe, makes me feel very uncomfortable. I just feel itchy in the head whenever I sit down to do anything.
A very frustrating sensation, especially when part of me really wants to get down to business.

I have, however, been keeping a dream log, which is better than nothing I suppose. I just wake up each morning and if I can remember anything at all, into the log it goes.
I'll probably be popping a few entries from there into my future journals. Some of them are daft, some horrible, some hilarious, some sexy and some...just plain perverted. You know the ones I mean.

I've been working and saving as hard as possible for the past few weeks. It's been hard going, my finances never feel as though they're really going to break the ideal target, but I have to stay disciplined.
To break the saving up, my girlfriend and I have planned a short boating holiday in the Norfolk Broads. Early July. It'll be good fun, besides - I haven't sunk a boat before. It's been on my to-destroy list for a while now!

Music-side, you guys should definitely check out 'Crack the Skye' by Mastodon, released last month. They keep surpassing themselves with each album, but I just don't know how they're going to beat this juggernaut of a record. How is everyone else getting on? No-one gone down with a dose of swine flu yet? Didn't think so. The media are going to be disappointed when the viral apocalypse they're crossing their fingers for doesn't come to pass.
